Earlier this morning a truck hit one of our fire hydrants on Apple Butter Road (by Skyline Drive.) The accident has caused a break in the water main which needs to be fixed. Consequently, we have to shut off service to water customers on Apple Butter Road between Skyline Drive and the entrance to the landfill. We are not sure when we will have it repaired by, but hope to have work completed (and water service restored) by late this afternoon.
